The Board of Directors' Responsibility Checklist

This check list is provided to the OAPSB Board of Directors along with the approved OAPSB Board of Directors' Responsibilities in order to ensure each and every member is aware of their responsibilities to the Association.

I have the necessary knowledge, ability and commitment to fulfill my responsibilities.

I understand the Association's purpose and whose interests it represents.

I understand the objectives and strategies of the Association.

I understand what constitutes reasonable information for good governance and when it is not provided, I seek the information.

Once informed, I am prepared to act to ensure the Association's objectives are met and that its performance is satisfactory.

I contribute to the Board's accountability obligations to our membership by ensuring it reports on the Association's effectiveness on a regular basis.

I work with the Board to ensure the Association's resources are allocated to service provision in a manner that meets the reasonable expectations of our members.
