Workshops on matters of particular interest to the membership are organized as appropriate. Chief Selection Process
- A process has been developed and used by many Boards to assist Police Services Boards through the important and challenging process of Chief selection.

Advocacy and Participation on Government Working Groups - The Association is in regular discussions with the government on issues of concern to the membership. It endeavours to meet annual or as needed with appropriate government ministers to raise and discuss issues of mutual concern. The OAPSB has representatives working on behalf of its members on a number of government working groups. The OAPSB also collaborates as appropriate with the other police sector stakeholders such as the OACP and the CAPS.
